Most of Chuck Weber's Sports Originals were painted live, and auctioned off live for charitable causes; including The Bryon Riesch Paralysis Foundation, PBS Great TV Auction, The American Cancer Society, St. Anthony On The Lake, Marquette High School and Catholic Memorial Hospital. However a limited number of first quality Canvas giclee prints are available. Most are

24-26' X 20-22", and all are $190. Each is double signed and numbered from a limited edition of just 50

Rhythms of Nature

Rhythms of Nature

There is a profound harmony in nature…an order within chaos, balance within apparent randomness. My objective in these oils is to capture the movement and harmony of the landscape, using impasto, heavily textured supports and bold brushwork to heighten the natural flow and color palette of nature’s canvas.

ARTiquities

ARTiquities

Working with heavy gel mediums and distressed substrates I have created these “nouveau fresco” oils in homage to classic architectural embellishment and sculptural power of Renaissance French and Italian masters like Bernini, Donatello and Parmigianino. ARTiquities bring high drama to the figurative poetry of the Masters.

SKINS

SKINS

Original oils of wildlife subjects on stretched skins. Tanned  buckskins are stretched with sinew over sapling stringer supports; creating truly original rustic works of art.

Iconics

Iconics

This series of large scale gallery-wrapped pieces are a high drama salute to some of America’s favorite icons. My Fauvist approach means first creating an acrylic under-painting (grisaille) done in the complementary, reverse colors to the final piece, which is then over-painted in oil.

Alla Prima

Alla Prima

Typically painted in a single sitting, these smaller, figurative studies, or oil “sketches” are looser and lighter than my more formal studio works. The goal of “alla prima” works is to capture a freshness and spontaneity and to force the artist to simplify presentation and isolate the important elements.
